September 7, 2015

On Labor Day, admission to the Renaissance Festival was free for seniors 62 and over.  A few of us enjoyed strolling through Revel Grove,

the humor of the Renaissance Man,

the aerial silk work of Lauryn Murray,

the drumming, singing and dancing of Sirena

food,

and glassblowing.

A fun way to spend Labor Day with friends.

Thursday August 27, 2015

The 4th Thursday dinner began with a pre-party at Bob's beautiful waterfront home in Deale. After a tour of the home he redesigned and built, we settled on the screened porch overlooking Parker Creek.

It was hard to leave this beautiful location.

Then it was off to Skipper's Pier where 23 members enjoyed the delightful weather this summer evening. The setting was gorgeous.

The conversation lively, the food delicious, the service outstanding.

Another fun evening for Second Chancers.

July 23, 2015

Our dinner on July 23rd took us to J King's in Gambrills. The evening started with drinks and conversation at the bar.

Then on to dinner.

Many members took advantage of the Thursday night special - a 1 pound Maine lobster, green beans, baked potato and side salad for $19.99.

We were even serenaded with music during the meal.

Another fun evening with good food, good music and great conversation.

June 20, 2015

On a warm June afternoon, a group of second chancers gathered at Darlene’s beautiful home for a wonderful picnic. The weather might have been warm but everyone remained cool under the tent.

When the rain started, some hardy souls remained under the tent, but another group went inside for conversation and food.  The food was wonderful with a wide variety of appetizers, salads and desserts.

A group of 15 second chancers ventured over the Bay Bridge for a delightful dinner at Bridges.

Lorraine promised there would not be any trouble with the traffic going across the bridge and she was correct.  It was smooth sailing. There was a great band in the background, great food, good conversation and delightful weather.  Definitely a must for next year’s calendar.

It was a small group of 2 that made it to the Blue Angel performance. We looked on with amazement as the jets passed over and in front of us. Hopefully more of our group will join us next year to watch this awe inspiring performance.
